It appeared as if Rajeev Ram and Raven Klaasen’s would get their revenge.
The RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas alums had played well through the Round Robin of the Barclays ATP World Tour doubles event, winning two of their three matches and going on to defeated the No.2 seeded team of Jamie Murray and Bruno Soares in the Semifinals.
But the one team they were unable to defeat during Round Robin play proved to be too strong the second time around in the Finals as well.
John Peers and Henri Kontinen went down a set to Ram and Klaasen before rallying back from the 2-6 first set to go 6-1, 10-8 to capture the world title.
Ram is a two-time doubles champion at the RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas.
