Past RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas doubles finalists Nicholas Monroe and Jack Sock came up just short in Miami earlier this month.

The 2012 Dallas finalists knocked off the top-seeded team of Henri Kontinen and John Peers in the first round of the Miami Open presented by Itaú en route to their championship showdown with Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo. But Kubot (another former Dallas player) and Melo were too much, winning in straight sets 7-5, 6-3 in the final.

Sock followed up Miami with a Davis Cup quarterfinal doubles match win with Steve Johnson for the United States. Unfortunately for Sock and the U.S. Team, Australia was too much as the Aussies moved on to the semifinals.
