Liam Broady, a 2015 RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas competitor, came up just short of his first career Challenger singles title in Aptos at the Nordic Naturals Challenger presented by Santa Cruz County Bank.

After taking out American Taylor Fritz in the semifinals, Broady was unable to finish things off in the finals against Alexander Bublik, falling to the 20-year-old from Kazakhstanian 6-2, 6-3.

Bublik defeated 2014 Dallas doubles champion Sam Groth in the semifinals to advance to the title match.
