American Sam Querrey finished up a career-best Wimbledon campaign, reaching the semifinals for the first time.

The former RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas player took out the likes of Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, Kevin Anderson, and Andy Murray en route to a showdown with Marin Cilic in the semis. After taking the first set 7-6(6), Querrey was unable to maintain the momentum as Cilic went on to win 6-4, 7-6(3), 7-5.

In 2016, Querrey advanced to the quarterfinals of Wimbledon – a year in which he knocked the No.1 seed Novak Djokovic in the Round of 32.
