Former RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas player Jason Jung earned a much needed championship victory this month.
The 28-year-old outlasted another former Dallas competitor – Ze Zhang – at the 2017 International Challenger Zhangjiagang in China, winning the singles title 6-4, 2-6, 6-4.
Jung barely edged out his semifinal opponent – the No.2 seed Go Soeda – battling it out in a 7-6(2), 3-6, 7-6(5) match win.
The title is Jung’s first of the year and was his first time to reach a challenger final since Shanghai last September.
