Dallas, TX — The United States Tennis Association has confirmed the official dates for the upcoming 20th Annual RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas. The week-long event hosted at TBarM Racquet Club will be held January 29th – February 3rd, 2018.
“TBarM Racquet Club is very excited to be hosting the RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas for an incredible 20th year,” said Tournament Chairman Glen Agritelley. “It is a huge milestone in the USTA Pro Circuit to reach 20 years. And we are extremely grateful for the support we have received from the tennis community here in North Texas during this time. We plan to make 2018 our best year yet.”
Of the 16 USTA Challenger events, the RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas will be one of only six that have reached 20 years of hosting their event.
Dates for the 2017-2018 singles and doubles Wildcard Tournaments will be released on June 1st. The tournament’s qualifying rounds will begin January 27th, 2018.
Points earned by participants in the RBC Tennis Championships of Dallas help players in gaining access to the major tournaments throughout the year. In 2017, the Dallas event increased its prize money from $100,000 to $125,000 – currently the highest prize money offered amongst USTA Challenger events. And one of the top purses in all Challenger events worldwide.
The events net proceeds – which have totaled almost $850,000 – are donated to local charities including Susan G. Komen Dallas County, the Maureen Connolly Brinker Tennis Foundation, Emily’s Place and the Dallas Tennis Association’s (DTA) DTEA Programs.
